Thank you to all the children and families who joined us on September 21st in the celebration of Playground Day at a new playground in Forest Lawn in southeast Calgary. Through our Building Playgrounds and Communities Grant Program (BPC), Parks Foundation Calgary awards up to $25,000 to communities or school groups for new playgrounds. The program is made possible through the support of an anonymous donor. Since it began in 2009, 85 new playgrounds have been built, at a value of nearly $13 million.

Playgrounds provide families and children of all ages accessible, and free recreation opportunities that encourage healthier communities and generations. We would like to thank the community, volunteers, sponsors and our anonymous donor for their dedication and support. We could not have done this without you.
