Canada 150 Funding

Parks Foundation Calgary is thrilled to be recipients of $104,000 from the Canada 150 Fund.

In conjunction with Canada's 150th birthday this year, PFC will also be celebrating our largest project to-date: the Rotary/Mattamy Greenway - a 138 km pathway encircling the city of Calgary. The pathway is free to use, accessible to all Calgarians, connects 55 communities together and over 400,000 residents. Along the pathway, users will find unique parks such as outdoor fitness parks, off-leash dog parks, education wetland interpretive areas, boardwalks, playgrounds and memorial parks.

Our city-wide celebration event is is funding in part by the Government of Canada and is scheduled for September 2, 2017. More details of the event will be shared as they become available.

Thank you to all of our sponsors and donors who have supported us on this journey - without your contribution, this project would not be a reality.
