“A Park with Wellness at its Heart”

1 in 5 Canadian children will experience a diagnosable psychiatric concern in their youth. Research has proven there’s a direct link between nature and positive mental health. Time in nature can play a powerful role in healing, calming, and restoring our well-being.

Parks Foundation partnered with the Brawn Family Foundation, Rotary, The City of Calgary, Alberta Health Services, and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation to develop the Brawn Family Foundation Rotary Park, a green space designed to support youth and teen mental health recovery.

Named after our generous keystone donor, the Brawn Family Foundation Rotary Park was developed with the vision to create an innovative NEW park, A SANCTUARY IN THE HEART OF CALGARY, that supports community, family and youth wellness. It is an essential place for families and kids who are receiving VITAL services and health supports at The Summit.
