VIVO Public Art Project

In partnership with VIVO for Healthier Generations (VIVO) and The City of Calgary, Parks Foundation is delivering a project to bring an outdoor artistic presence to VIVO’s recent expansion project. This project will consist of a large mural located on the Eastern wall of the VIVO building. This mural project is a part of the Northeast Public Art Initiative, which was created because of the lack of public art in northeast Calgary compared to other quadrants. The goal of this project is to increase public art opportunities in northeast Calgary that support local artists and businesses.

Meet the Artists!

We are thrilled to announce that Tiffany Lynn Cuffley and Harvey Nichol have been selected to complete the VIVO building mural project!

Together, their artistic practices are a dynamic exploration of diverse mediums and styles, seamlessly blending contemporary and traditional influences. Harvey’s work is deeply rooted in his Filipino heritage and his experiences as a Filipino Calgarian who immigrated to northeast Calgary in 2013. He draws inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of both the Philippines and Calgary. Harvey’s artistic process often begins with extensive research and storytelling, aiming to shed light on social issues and promote positive change. Tiffany’s work pushes further into the abstract realm where shape, pattern, colour, the geometry of movement and natural structure are explored. Tiffany draws inspiration from her connection to movement which stems from her past career as a professional figure skater.
