“A Park with Wellness at its Heart”

Brawn Family Foundation Rotary Park was designed to support youth and teen mental health recovery.

1 in 5 Canadian children will experience a diagnosable psychiatric concern in their youth. Research has proven there’s a direct link between nature and positive mental health which is why we are so excited to be partnering with the Brawn Family Foundation, Rotary, The City of Calgary, Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation to develop a park at The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience. The center is located in the community of Hounsfield Heights/ Briar Hill.

Our vision was to create an innovative NEW park, A SANCTUARY IN THE HEART OF CALGARY, that supports community, FAMILY AND YOUTH wellness. The park is located just steps from The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience - a state of the art NEW health centre. The park is an essential place for families and kids who are receiving VITAL services and health supports at The Summit.

The park got its name because of a generous keystone donation from the Brawn Family Foundation, in partnership with Rotary.
