For the last 35 years, Parks Foundation has been creating parks though partnerships by connecting donors and partners with park and sport projects. Parks and green spaces are historically underfunded, so donors and volunteers have played a key role in ensuring that our city has much needed outdoor spaces.

Inspired by that early success, we worked with donors to develop other exciting and innovative parks, such as Rouleauville Square, which transformed a bus lane into one of the Beltline’s most beautiful and historic outdoor destinations. Hundreds of projects later, we continue to seek park projects that are needed, yet unfunded, those parks that will spark imagination, and connect people to each other and nature. Our largest ever project is the Rotary/Mattamy Greenway, a 138km pathway system that encircles Calgary connecting almost half of the population in our city. There are also a variety of park, school and sport projects that we are currently developing.
