The Project Gift Administration (PGA) Program has been renamed to the Project Support Program. We are still offering all of the same great services to our partners.
Helping Calgary’s Communities Realize Their Dreams.
We recognize the valuable role that citizen-led initiatives play in creating healthy and vibrant communities. Many community organizations are also volunteer-driven and may not have the capacity, experience or expertise to manage the financial transactions of a project. To that end, our Project Support Program offers free accounting services and a direct partnership with Parks Foundation. This program offers the following services:
Opening a unique account for each approved project to deposit and receive donations
Includes use of our online donation system
Receiving donations on behalf of the project and issuing tax receipts for eligible donations
Includes automated tax receipting for online donors
Processing payments for approved invoices for the project
Providing financial reports for the project upon request
Fundraising and project planning support
Eligibility for Parks Foundation Calgary’s grant programs
The Project Support Program is offered at no cost to organizations initiating projects with budgets of $1 million dollars or less.
For organizations undertaking projects valued at more than $1 million dollars or those interested in establishing an endowment fund, the project will be subject to an administration allocation. Please contact our office to discuss prior to applying.
To be considered for the Project Support Program your group must be a non-profit organization and submit a completed application form. Eligible projects include playgrounds, schoolyard naturalization, public park murals, community gardens, sporting equipment, community recreation facilities, and many other outdoor community initiatives.
