The Inclusive Community Hub will be located in the community of Evanston, located at the corner of Evanston Drive and Symons Valley Pkwy NW, Calgary AB T3P 0C3.

PARK BACKGROUND

In late 2020, the City of Calgary announced new infrastructure investments for 2020-21, to support a more competitive, accessible and resilient city during a year of unprecedented challenges. This resulted in Calgary Parks receiving $16M in funding towards Parks infrastructure projects, funded through the provincial Municipal Stimulus Fund (MSP). The Evanston Creekside Community Association partnered with the City of Calgary and Parks Foundation to utilize some of this funding in order to move forward with their plans to transform an underused area into a thriving, inclusive, four seasons community hub. The location of the Evanston community hub is along the Rotary / Mattamy Greenway, and will be the first winter amenity along the 145km trail surrounding the city.
